Santa Fe National Forest Rescinds Stage 1 Fire Restrictions
Santa Fe National Forest leadership has decided to lift Stage 1 Fire Restrictions in Cuba, Coyote, Jemez, Espanola, and Pecos/Las Vegas Ranger Districts, effective at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, June 6, 2025.

Temporary Closure for Forest Road 156 (Johnson Mesa)
Forest Road 156 (Johnson Mesa) in the Pecos/Las Vegas Ranger District is closed due to flooding. A slump caused by recent flooding is blocking the road. The closure will remain in effect until further notice.

Temporary Area Closure for the Tesuque Peak Powerline on the Espanola Ranger District
The area in the vicinity of Tesuque Peak Powerline is temporarily closed for a powerline rebuild and restoration project.

Headquarters Well Area Closure on Española Ranger District
The Santa Fe National Forest (SFNF) has issued a camping closure for Headquarters Well in the Española Ranger District to prevent further resource damage caused by an increase in unauthorized long-term camping, vandalism, and trash dumping.
