Silvopasture: An Agroforestry Practice

This Agroforestry Note, a revision of a 1997 publication, integrates new science and best practices for silvopasture—a type of agroforestry system in which trees and shrubs are intentionally integrated with forages and livestock on the same unit of land. The information in this publication can support natural resource professionals working with farmers, ranchers, and forest landowners in silvopasture systems to help them achieve multiple ecological, social, and production benefits.

National Active Forest Management Strategy

The National Active Forest Management Strategy fulfills direction from Executive Order 14225, Secretarial Memo 1078-006, and the Forest Service Associate Chief ’s letter on implementation of Secretarial Memo 1078-006.
